HAILS ARTIST SPOTLIGHT #1: CRAE WOLF

Facebook reels and TikToks certainly aren't new, but either can be a surprising place to find good tunes - to ME; since I'm a bit behind the times and hearken from the MySpace days when I first started HailsWebzine!

So imagine my surprise when, one day this year, CRAE WOLF graced my "for you" page.

I wanted to bring my website back with something new and poppin' - and I couldn't think of a better vibe to kick it off with.

Crae got her start in the male-dominated East London rap music scene, and now the self-proclaimed "Queen of Flow" is banging down the door of the metal world, too.

Styling herself as "Baddie Core Metal", Crae Wolf's sound combines elements of bass-y, high-energy hip-hop with a combo of clean, seductive vocals and spat-out poetry.

"Buzz Trip" was the first track of hers I'd heard, and as an aficionado of all things heavy AND hip-hop I fell in love and wanted to know more!

Then there's the frenetic, hard-hitting "On My Body"

Finally, out of my faves I found, we have an older track called "Do U Think I Care?"

Not much is known yet about Crae's back story - or, at least, I wasn't able to dig up much yet - and I am hoping to approach her for an interview, so that maybe we can change that!
